How do you accomplish your evaluations?
A full speech, language, voice, fluency and pragmatic – social language assessment is conducted. This evaluation includes the use of standardized assessments, formal observation and parent interview and discussion. A speech – language report complete with recommendations and goals/objectives is included.
What areas are assessed during the evaluation?
The evaluation will cover the areas of oral – motor development, speech – articulation and phonological development. In depth language testing will cover receptive language, expressive language as well as language processing. Voice and fluency (stuttering) are assessed. Pragmatics and social language are assessed. The focus of the evaluation will be individual for each client, based on parental concerns and outcomes of the initial consultation.
